What are the licensable activities?

Firstly, you should set out which activities your business will carry on. We will consider whether any are licensable activities under the Licensing Act. These are called “Licensable Activities” and they require a premises licence :

  • The sale or supply of alcohol
  • The provision of regulated entertainment
  • The provision of late-night refreshments

Regulated entertainments are activities like having a disco, karaoke or having a live band etc. and late-night refreshments are defined as the sale or supply of hot tea, coffee or food from 11 PM to 5 AM.
