Project Description
We successfully secured full planning permission for the installation of a flue extraction system at 28–30 High Street, Leicester LE1 5YN, supporting the change of use to a restaurant (Class E). The proposal was carefully developed to address key planning considerations associated with commercial kitchen ventilation in a busy high street location, ensuring compliance with local authority requirements while enabling the viable operation of the restaurant use.
Our team prepared and coordinated a comprehensive suite of supporting planning documents to strengthen the application and ensure a smooth approval process. This included a detailed Planning Statement, Design and Access Statement, technical drawings, and a ventilation/extraction strategy, alongside supporting assessments such as odour and noise impact considerations where required. These standard documents clearly demonstrated that the proposed flue extraction system would not result in unacceptable impacts on neighbouring occupiers or the surrounding streetscape, ultimately leading to a successful grant of planning permission.
