Project Description
Planning permission was secured for the installation of a kitchen extraction and ventilation system, including a rear-mounted extract flue, at 15 Station Terrace, London NW10 5RX. The proposal supported the lawful and efficient operation of the restaurant (Class E use) while carefully addressing the constraints of a dense urban location. Particular attention was given to the siting and appearance of the rear flue to ensure it was suitably integrated with the existing building and did not detract from the character of the surrounding area or the amenity of neighbouring occupiers.
We prepared a comprehensive planning submission to support the application, including a detailed Planning Statement, Design and Access Statement, and precise technical drawings illustrating the extraction route and external flue arrangement. A supporting ventilation strategy was also provided, setting out odour control measures, discharge parameters, and compliance with relevant environmental guidance. This coordinated approach demonstrated that the scheme would operate without adverse impact, ultimately leading to the successful grant of planning permission.
